CONICET scientists associated with national and private universities are concerned, in their respective executing units, the heavy university bureaucracy, excessive party politicization of its authorities, low academic level of their colleagues, lack of adequate support services, university libraries and lacking very specialized technology, inadequate municipal infrastructure and reduced, and the low-budget college.
CONICET scientists can perhaps alleviate some of these shortcomings mentioned by grants from the Agency, but can hardly affect the qualitative improvement of their respective departments, colleges and universities where they work. The environment is not favorable to them.
According to a recent global ranking of universities, none is among the top 200 in the world.
